The price gap

$249 vs $1,349. Same active ingredient.

Branded GLP-1s at cash-pay retail run roughly five to six times what OPTML charges for the compounded preparation of the same active ingredient.

Branded retail prices are approximate cash-pay list prices from each manufacturer’s public site as of 2026 (Wegovy®, Zepbound®, Ozempic®, Mounjaro®). Actual cost depends on insurance, manufacturer savings programs, and pharmacy. OPTML dispenses compounded preparations — the same active pharmaceutical ingredients used in the FDA-approved branded products, prepared by FDA-registered 503A pharmacies under USP <797> sterility standards. Compounded preparations are not FDA-approved; the FDA does not verify the safety, effectiveness, or quality of compounded drugs.

Pricing FAQ

What’s included in the monthly price?

Medication, physician oversight, all supplies (syringes, alcohol pads, sharps container), and free shipping. No hidden fees.

Is there a consultation fee?

No. Initial consultation is free. You only pay if a physician approves your protocol and you choose to start.

Are labs included?

No — labs are not included with any subscription. All OPTML protocols cover the medication, supplies, provider oversight, and shipping. Labs are available as a separate add-on at member rates, or you can bring your own from Quest, Labcorp, or your existing provider.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. All OPTML protocols are HSA/FSA-eligible. Most patients pay less out-of-pocket through their HSA than they would through insurance copays.

Is insurance accepted?

OPTML is cash-pay only. Most patients find that cash-pay works out cheaper than the copays, prior authorization delays, and coverage caps that come with insurance for these protocols.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No long-term contracts. You can pause, modify your dose, or cancel from your patient portal at any time.

How does annual pricing work?

Annual plans are billed quarterly (4 payments) or upfront (with an additional discount). You lock in the annual-tier price for the full 12 months.

What if I need to switch protocols?

Easy. Most patients use OPTML for multiple protocols (e.g., TRT + NAD+, or HRT + microdose). Talk to your provider, there’s no transfer fee.
